On the road to recovery – Cambodia’s economic outlook for 2021

COVID-19 has had profound socioeconomic impacts worldwide. In Cambodia, current predictions for 2020 of a contraction of 4 % in the national gross domestic product (GDP) contrast with a prior forecast t of 7% growth before the pandemic. However, the Development Outlook update published in September by the Asian Development Bank expects the Cambodian economy to rebound with a  5.9% growth rate  and a 1.8% inflation rate  in 2021, placing it as the  fifth fastest Southeast Asian economy. The enhancement of agricultural performance and increased volume of non-garment manufacturing exports are among explanatory factors.

The webinar will take place on the 1st December, at 3pm (ICT).

In this webinar, our expert speakers will be sharing their latest findings and describing the expected road to recovery of the Cambodian economy for 2021.
