In 2016, the biggest winner was four-time awardee Shwe Taung Development Co Ltd, which collected Best Developer trophy, while Keppel Land and Capital Development also received top awards. Respected businessman Serge Pun, executive chairman of the SPA Group of Companies, was also presented the coveted Real Estate Personality of the Year accolade. About the Event
Returning for a third successful year in 2017, the Myanmar Property Awards is part of the regional Asia Property Awards programme. With a professionally run awards system supervised by BDO, the world’s fifth largest auditing and accountancy firm, the Myanmar Property Awards is the biggest and most credible industry awards in the country, with the top and emerging names in real estate celebrating the best developers, projects and designs in the country.
Around 300 C-level executives and senior industry figures in real estate development, property consultancy, marketing, architecture and design.
To recognise and reward Myanmar’s leading and up-and-coming names in property development, architecture and design in the residential, commercial and hospitality sectors, and to provide a widely respected regional platform to showcase their achievements.
Nominations and Shortlist Announcement
Nominations are accepted at AsiaPropertyAwards.com/nominations/ until 21 April 2017. Eligible entries are accepted until 28 April 2017. Entry is free. The official shortlist announcement is expected on 25 May 2017.
Launched in 2015, the Myanmar Property Awards has since held two highly successful editions in Yangon. A total of 14 awards were presented in 2015 to 21 shortlisted developers at the gala dinner attended by 250 guests. In 2016, the number of awards increased to 17, presented to 22 shortlisted developers during the ceremony attended by 310 guests. More than 120 entry submissions are expected for the 2017 edition, a significant increase from 76 eligible entries in the previous year.
