Worldwide Network Meeting of European Business Organizations in Brussels
Executive Directors of European Business Organizations (EBO) from all over the world met on 20 June 2016 in Brussels to discuss the state of play of the European business in their respective countries. The meeting aims to enhance the exchange of ideas and experiences among EBOs and their experience with the EU Foreign Economic Policy. As its youngest member EuroCham Myanmar was representing EU business in Myanmar.
EuroCham Executive Director Filip Lauwerysen, along with representatives from 32 other European business organizations worldwide, met with the European Parliament's Committee on International Trade (INTA) and a number of MEPs to discuss EU Foreign Economic Policy. The representatives have also met with different departments of the European Commission to highlight concerns and opportunities for EU businesses in their respective countries; overall there is much attention to Myanmar as Asia’s last frontier market and its recent impressive transition of government.
