EuroCham Automotive Advocacy Group and Automotive Association Myanmar (AAM) sign MoU

On the 14th of November 2018, the EuroCham Automotive Advocacy Group represented by EuroCham Deputy Director Mr. Marc de la Fouchardière, and the Automotive Association Myanmar (AAM) represented by Chairman U Aung Win, signed an MoU to officialise their cooperation in advocating together to create a stronger automotive sector in Myanmar. Following the signing of the MoU, members of the EuroCham Automotive AG and AAM identified the three main issues in doing automotive business in Myanmar:

  • Yangon Vehicles Quota Certificate (YVQC)
  • Individual importers
  • Slow bureaucratic procedure

The EuroCham Automotive AG and AAM are planning to set up several institutional meetings by the end of November 2018.
