EuroCham attended MCRB 4th Responsible Business workshop
On 7th May, EuroCham Myanmar represented by Laurenne Sautier, Head of communication and marketing and Amaia Garcia, EMRBI officer, has attended the 4th Responsible Business workshop on "Promoting diverse, respectful and Inclusive workplaces" organised by the MCRB (Myanmar Center for Responsible Business).
The workshop’s focus was on how to build a business free from bullying and sexual harassment, as well as on having adequate mechanisms to respond if they occur. This full day event featured from panel discussions, practical exercises to presentations from our members Heineken, H&M and Total E&P who contributed with their experiences.
The key take-aways of the workshop are that bullying and sexual harassment in the workplace are issues that can be addressed by increasing awareness, developing skills and capacity, and collaborating with other organisations to change social attitudes.
Creating a culture of respect protects companies and supports business growth. In respectful workplaces, employees are more engaged and productive!
