EuroCham Myanmar received DaNa Facility
EuroCham Myanmar Executive Director, Mr. Marc de la Fouchardière, received DaNa Facility Director of Strategy Myo Myo Myint and Team Leader Mark Birnbaum. EuroCham Myanmar Government Affairs Htet Aung Khine and Automotive Advocacy Officer Carlo Chiozzi also joined the meeting.
The two organisations discussed potential collaboration on Bonded Warehouse issues in Myanmar. EuroCham Myanmar, with member companies having a strong interest to see a solid and efficient bonded warehouse system put in place was keen on supporting DaNa Facility in their efforts to reform the sector.
The DaNa Facility is an innovative private sector development programme based in Myanmar, funded with £25 million from the UK Government’s Department for International Development (DFID) and running from 2016 through to December 2020. The Facility is designed to support the transformation of the Myanmar economy with a focus on serving the needs of the poor and groups historically marginalised from the economy, such as women and people with disabilities.
