Navigating Heightened Due Diligence: Guidance on Business, Security, and Humanitarian Law in Myanmar by Pechmeze Law

In the first session of the webinar series on Heightened Due Diligence and Guidance for Business hosted on September 28th 2023, ‘Business, Security and Humanitarian Law in Myanmar, ‘ the importance of communication on Due Diligence processes was emphasized already: when a company implements a Heightened Human Rights Due Diligence (HHRDD) initiative, it may be of interest to communicate its objectives, the measures it entails, and its challenges. How a business does this is up to the business itself, but the framework from the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights can be a guiding principle. Please find further guidance in the one-pager prepared for EuroCham Myanmar members by our speaker, Ms Cecilia Pechmeze here.

Stay tuned for the upcoming sessions of this webinar series, each promising to deliver further valuable insights and strategies to empower businesses in Myanmar. The next session is scheduled early next year. More information will be followed.
