Construction Group

Mandate

EuroCham Myanmar, together with leading European Companies involved in the construction sector, created in September 2016 the Construction Advocacy Group. The aim of this group is to provide support and objective guidance to the Myanmar government in its effort to build the nation in a sustainable, affordable and qualitative manner.

Objectives

Become a referential forum for EU Companies in the Construction & Infrastructure Sector to address their sector’s needs and common issues by speaking with a unified European voice to the Myanmar authorities
Constructively engage the Myanmar authorities in order to promote the adoption of higher standards for engineering, construction, building and safety inspired from European best practices
Promote transparency, compliance and rule of law in the Construction & Infrastructure sector in Myanmar
Develop position papers and contribute to the EuroCham Myanmar White Book
