EuroCham Myanmar CEO Visits Medical Action Myanmar Clinics in Hlaingthayar, Reinforces Ongoing Partnership and Support

Earlier this week, EuroCham Myanmar CEO, Ms Karina Ufert visited two Medical Action Myanmar clinics in Hlaingthayar, one of Yangon’s industrial districts. EuroCham Myanmar has been partnering with Medical Action Myanmar since the COVID-19 pandemic, during which time our member companies facilitated the procurement and transportation of oxygen equipment.

Last year, EuroCham Myanmar members joined forces to raise funds to purchase lifesaving medicine for MAM clinics. Medical Action Myanmar runs 20 clinics around the country and provided around 2,500,000 medical consultations last year. The demand is growing unfortunately: tuberculosis, HIV and other infectious diseases are on the rise.

We are grateful to MAM for its tireless work and look forward to supporting its efforts to provide accessible healthcare to people in Myanmar.
