EU grant-funded project in ASEAN: The EU Mobility Programme for Myanmar (EMPM). EMPM was launched on the 1st of January 2023 and will run as a pilot project until the 31st of December 2026. The project aims to enhance online learning and mobility options for Myanmar university students and young professionals affected by recent interruptions in university education and employment. This will be done, among others, by awarding virtual mobility scholarships to complete studies and earn top-up degrees at universities in ASEAN. EMPM is implemented by consortium members of DAAD (programme lead), Campus France, and Nuffic where Nuffic is responsible for implementing the Virtual Scholarship.

To date, two batches of virtual scholarships under EMPM have been conducted. A third Batch will open on 20 September for the Virtual Global Opportunities (Micro-credential and Internship).
