The economic disruptions caused by the dual crises of the COVID-19 pandemic and political instability have resulted in unprecedented challenges for the people of Myanmar. To better understand the situation in the country, the Myanmar Agriculture Policy Support Activity (MAPSA) has implemented surveys to track household and individual welfare, agricultural production, and economic activities representative at the national, urban/rural, and state/region levels. This webinar will present findings from the first rounds of these surveys conducted in the beginning of 2022 on the state of the rice sector and on poverty and household welfare.
