COVID-19 pandemic wrecks many businesses, resulting in significant losses of jobs in many sectors. Despite this disruption, Myanmar economy is forecasted to grow by 2% this year and higher next year while most of other economies in the region are shrinking. This means skills demands within Myanmar labour markets will be at the upward trend in the years to come.
Now is a good time to take stock of skills requirements in industries within Myanmar for businesses and workers alike to be more resilient for the remainder of pandemic and beyond. For the MyJobs First Ever Virtual Career Fair, EuroCham Myanmar is organizing the skills for Myanmar market online discussion, comprising representatives from various sectors such as garment (and others, to be updated once confirmed), government representative, chambers of commerce and the HR expert.
The objective of this discussion is to bring together expertise from government, industries and experts to have a thought-provoking session on the critical skills supply aspect of the future job market in Myanmar, especially from the point of view of foreign and local investors.
