Myanmar Garment Sector Factsheet 2.0
EuroCham Myanmar has published the 𝐌𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐.𝟎. This updated version builds upon the foundation laid by the first edition, which was initially launched in January 2022. The Myanmar Garment Sector Factsheet aims to update stakeholders on the current state of Myanmar’s apparel sector. Being the major source of formal employment, particularly for women in the country, this Factsheet is intended to contribute to heightened human rights due diligence by EuroCham Myanmar members and others in the garment sector, greater transparency and understanding of the sector’s importance for the livelihoods of the hundreds of thousands of people in Myanmar.
