EuroCham Myanmar at OECD Forum on Due Diligence in the Garment and Footwear Sector

On the 16th and 17th of February 2023, OECD hosted the annual “OECD Forum on Due Diligence in the Garment and Footwear Sector” in Paris. Our Executive Director, Karina Ufert, joined the forum as a speaker of the panel discussion reviewing considerations when operating businesses and sourcing from conflict-affected high-risk regions.

Karina presented our work on the country’s garment sector and the Multi-stakeholder Alliance for Decent Employment in the Myanmar apparel Industry (MADE in Myanmar) project, in which EuroCham Myanmar is a consortium partner. Following the OECD Forum, Karina will attend meetings in the United Kingdom and Germany, offering opportunities to meet with European-based members.
