EuroCham Myanmar and WWF Myanmar Collaborate for Insightful Event on Environmental Responsibility

On 25^th January 2024, EuroCham Myanmar, in collaboration with WWF Myanmar, hosted an insightful event “Navigating Environmental Responsibility Landscape.” Approximately 50 enthusiastic participants from diverse environmental organisations and businesses came together for this occasion.

Throughout the event, energy and environmental experts from WWF Myanmar, Thant Myanmar and Smart Power Myanmar shared invaluable insights into the challenges of water, plastic, and carbon pollution within Myanmar. Their discussions highlighted pathways toward a sustainable future, emphasizing critical topics such as solar installation financing, energy efficiency measures, circular economy practices, and the importance of energy audits in promoting sustainability. Moreover, the event served as a platform for engaging cross-sectoral discussions on the adoption of responsible business practices and innovative solutions to address environmental challenges effectively.

EuroCham Myanmar remains committed to strengthening a comprehensive understanding of sustainability and responsible business practices among its members and stakeholders to contribute towards a sustainable environment and positive societal impact. In alignment with this commitment, the initiative of Sustainability Working Group will facilitate stakeholder engagement, promote capacity building in sustainable and responsible business practices, and encourage collaboration on impactful initiatives through EuroCham Myanmar’s advocacy, research endeavors, networking opportunities, and various other activities.
