EuroCham Myanmar’s HR Talk Series Launches with “Building HR Stamina in Myanmar” Event

Following the formation of the HR Working Group in 2023, EuroCham Myanmar launched the first event of the HR Talk Series with the topic of “Building HR Stamina in Myanmar” on January 26th, 2024. We are grateful to have Park Royal Yangon as Location Partner for the HR Talk Series. Over 50 HR professionals from member companies convened at this event to exchange ideas, network, and discuss challenges related to practices and information within the field of Human Resources development.

This event provided a platform for an engaging and interactive atmosphere among the attendees, with discussions led by the two main speakers who serve as the Co-chairs of the EuroCham Myanmar HR Working Group: Ms. Swe Zin Thet, Head of HR for Myanmar, Cambodia, and Laos at Unilever Myanmar, and Mr. Navuth Yang, Director of Country Human Resources at DKSH Myanmar Limited.

During their presentations, Ms. Swe Zin Thet and Mr. Navuth Yang shared insightful tips for building HR stamina and addressing the most lacking skills of a HR talent, emphasizing the importance of Business Acumen and proficiency in Digital and Data Analytics. Drawing from their extensive career journeys within HR field, they provided actionable strategies for navigating challenges and growing in the dynamic HR landscape. At the conclusion of the presentations, attendees expressed enthusiasm for advancing HR community through engaging in a Q&A session and exchanging best practices for HR Development.

The EuroCham Myanmar HR Working Group, composed of HR Representatives from leading European companies across various sectors, provides a cross-sectoral platform for members to exchange ideas and best practices within the field of Human Resources development. It also serves as a forum for discussing challenges among members, encouraging potential collaborations to enhance the HR landscape and support the interests of businesses operating in Myanmar. The HR Working Group Meeting happens bi-monthly and the next meeting will be held in February 2024. The meeting opens participation from members companies.
