This program, under the Social Responsibility Pillar of EuroCham Myanmarโs HR Working Group, is the first initiative of its kind in Myanmar to empower underprivileged youths with life-changing opportunities, while help supporting the talent pool for our participating companies members.
This one-year rotational internship program offers selected interns the opportunity to gain hands-on experiences across three leading member companies, each focusing on different business functions. The main goals are to provide interns with real-world skills, broad industry experience, and the confidence needed to thrive in the workforce.
Key features of the program included:
โข A four-month rotation at each partner company
โข Professional mentorship and career development support
โข Training support by SISU, our training partner
โข Personal growth through guided learning and ongoing feedback
During the session, we had the pleasure of hearing the opening remark from Mr. Dominique N. Jung, Vice Chairman of EuroCham Myanmar and Managing Director of HEINEKEN Myanmar, along with the inspiring and successful story shared by Daw Swe Zin Thet Head of HR at Unilever for Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos, Co-Chair of HR Working Group, as well as the encouraging remark by Mr. Yang Navuth, Director of Human Resources at DKSH Myanmar as well as our another Co-Chair of HR Working Group. We were also honored by the presence of another Vice Chairman of EuroCham Myanmar, Dr. Jonathan Chih, Country Manager of Maersk Myanmar. After a brief overview of the program, the interns, representatives from participating companies, and EuroCham Myanmar signed the agreements to officially convene the programme. We believe that the interns will gain valuable experience from this journey as the first step of their professional career.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our member companies, partners, and the HR Working Group Co-Chairs for their inspiring support and to everyone who made today’s launch event a success. A special thanks to Shaun Ee as the co-lead of Social Responsibility pillar to help drive this program forward.
This is just the first batch of this programme and we are looking forward to scaling up this programme with upcoming batches. Stay tuned for exciting updates!
