EuroCham Myanmar Hosts Online Briefing on Banking, Finance, and Regulatory Updates, Featuring Leading Experts

On Thursday, May 30th, EuroCham Myanmar hosted an online briefing titled “LTAG Session: Banking, Finance, and Other Regulatory Updates.” This briefing is part of a regular commitment of EuroCham’s Legal and Tax Advocacy Group (LTAG), bringing together 3 legal companies to brief the business community on the latest regulatory developments. 

Our expert speakers included Alexander Bohusch from Luther Myanmar, Surath B from DFDL, Stefan Chapman from SCM Legal, the Secretary General of Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI), Daw Khine Khine Nwe, and our Head of Policy and Strategy, Thet Zaw Htwe, who moderated the session. Over 75 participants from member companies attended the briefing. 

During the session, experts provided practical clarifications and advice on Myanmar’s ever-changing regulatory and finance landscape, including actionable strategies for obtaining import licenses, managing foreign exchange volatility and dealing with the impact of the Military Service Law on the essential workforce.
